Ethiopian Airlines

Ethiopian Airlines (Ethiopian) founded in December 21, 1945, is the flag carrier of Ethiopia. During the past seventy plus years, Ethiopian has become one of the continent’s leading carriers, unrivaled in Africa for efficiency and operational success, turning profits for almost all the years of its existence.
Operating at the forefront of technology, the airline has also become one of Ethiopia’s major industries and a veritable institution in Africa. It commands a lion’s share of the pan African network including the daily and double daily east-west flight across the continent. Ethiopian currently serves 100 international and 21 domestic destinations operating the newest and youngest fleet.
The Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is the major hub for Ethiopian Airlines and one of the largest airports in Africa. The ultra-modern airport terminal was inaugurated on January 21, 2003. This spacious terminal handles all international flights with its 21st century facilities.
Addis Ababa Airport is the busiest airport in East Africa with a capacity of providing a world class passenger and cargo services to more than 6.5 million international and domestic passengers each year.

Ministry of Culture and Tourism

The Ethiopian Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MoCT) is the ministry of the Government of Ethiopia responsible for researching, preserving, developing, and promoting the culture and tourist attractions of Ethiopia and its peoples, both inside the country and internationally. MoCT aims to build the positive images of Ethiopia with a view to adding a sustainable socio-economic and political values with popular and stakeholder’s participation.
The Ministry publicizes the country’s resources of tourist attractions and encourages the development of tourist facilities. It also licenses and supervises establishments of tourist facilities such as hotels and tour operators, and sets the standards for them.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the Ethiopian government ministry which oversees the foreign relations of Ethiopia.
The current ministry was established 23 August 1995 with the passing of Proclamation 4-1995, which also established the other 14 original Ministries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a leading diplomatic institution in Africa with the ability and capacity to marshal strategic partners for the continent and the region; to play a central role in Ethiopia’s growth into a democratic developmental state and in the achievement of peace and stability in the Horn of Africa.

Tourism Ethiopia

The mandate of the Ethiopian Tourism Organization is to enhance the benefits of tourism in a sustainable and competitive manner by mobilizing and providing leadership to the tourism sector and stakeholders towards tourism destination development and marketing. The Tourism Board oversees the ETOs activities, provides guidance, reviews and approves work programs and budgets and evaluates the performance of the Organization.
The Mission is to develop the country tourist destinations in collaboration with various stakeholders, market and promote the destination at national and international level through employing competitive marketing and promotional strategies.

Ethiopian Tour Operators Association

Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) is a professional association representing the legally registered tour operators in Ethiopia. Currently, ETOA is composed of more than 220 individual tour and travel agency companies that are actively engaged in providing tour and tour operation related services.
The ETOA was established in 2003 to make sure its members provide services with high level professionalism and ethics encouraging the highest standard in all aspect of tour operating.

The Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC)

EIC Is an autonomous government institution accountable to the country’s Investment Board, which is chaired by the Prime Minister. A Commissioner, who is also member of the Board, heads the EIC.
The EIC has restructured itself recently with a view to becoming more effective at attracting FDI and improving the services provided to investors.
With main services like, Promoting the country’s investment opportunities and conditions to foreign and domestic investors, Issuing investment permits, business licenses and construction permits, Issuing commercial registration certificates as well as renewals, amendments, replacements or cancellations. In addition, the EIC provides the following free, confidential and customized services to investors, Provision, through our website, various publications, or through direct response to investor’s inquiries, of information on sector-specific business opportunities, business incorporation procedures and related regulations, employment regulations.
